Robert Lamm, 89, was born July 23, 1925 in Vici, OK to Louis P. and Alice Lamm. He passed away June 6, 2015 in Hobbs, NM.
Robert served during WWII and was an Electronic Technician in the Army Air Corps. After the war he worked as a Laboratory Electronic Mechanic at White Sands Proving Ground in Las Cruces, NM and was an Electronic Technician in the R&D Department of Hughes Aircraft Co. in Culver City, CA. He also worked as a government inspector of electronics for Boeing Aircraft. While in California he lived in Beverly Wilshire Hotel and worked for Howard Hughes. After working in the engineering field, Robert spent the rest of his career farming the family farms. He was an avid and excellent dancer. Robert was a member of NARFE, veterans' organizations and was an active Democrat.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; son, Mark P. Lamm and wife Nancy of Coppell, TX; step-daughter, Colleen Smart of Hobbs, NM; step-son, Raymond Holland and wife Linda of Albuquerque, NM; step-daughter, Melanie Boyden and husband John of Hobbs, NM; stepson, Chris Holland and wife Maureen of Albuquerque, NM; and step-daughter, Cami Pilkington and husband Charles of Hobbs, NM; nephew Joe Lamm; and niece Susie Hiltz; and numerous step- grandchildren/great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Louis J. Lamm; and a grandson, Brandon Lamm.
