Robert Fuqua

Memorial services for Robert E. Bob Fuqua of Hobbs will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Steve Lord, Star Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Cremation will take place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Fuqua, 81, of Hobbs died January 6, 2010, at his home in Hobbs. He was born June 19, 1928, in Winfield, Kansas.

Bob was employed by Rice Engineering for 36 years. He was a member of the Lea County Roadriders Motorcycle Club and a lifetime member of the Lea County Sheriffs Posse.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Fugua of Hobbs three daughters, Sharon Newcomb and husband Kim of Hobbs, Shirley Fuqua of Hobbs, and Roberta Griffin and husband Ronnie of Hobbs eight grandchildren, Ronnie Lee Griffin, Cassandra Wiley, Angela Fulcher, Rebecca Fugua, Timothy Ellis II, Randy Ausbern, Tommy Ausbern, Jr. and Karla Gibson and 17 12 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Glen and Martha Fuqua, daughter Theresa Ausbern and sister Dora Fuqua.
