Robert J. Brow, 88, passed from this life September 25, 2011, at his home in Hobbs, NM. He was born February 12, 1923, in Kingsley, MI, to Arthur and Elizabeth Brow. Funeral services for Robert will be 2:00 p.m.Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements. Officiating will be Pastors Sidney Fallin and Dale Shook. Interment will take place after services at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, at Chapel of Hope with the family greeting friends from 4 6 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. until service time.
Bob married Juanita Mae August 7, 1943, in Traverse City, MI. They moved to Hobbs in 1947 where he opened Bobs TV Service and operated it for 40 years. He enjoyed experimental aircraft and was a member of the Glider Association at Hobbs Air Base. Bob led a solar group and invented a solar liquid heater. He enjoyed wood carving, painting and crafts of all kinds. Bob was also a member of the Archery Club and a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Brow is survived by his wife, Juanita of Hobbs sons, Larry W. Brow of Las Vegas, NM, and Christopher L. Brow, and wife Kimberly, of Garland TX daughter, Eileen N. Jolley, and husband Donnie, of Lubbock, TX special children, Clark and Susie Shadle of Fayetteville, GA, and John and Charlotte Lechner of LaVon, TX brothers, Germaine Brow, and wife Jody, of Farmington, NM, Calvin Brow, and wife Debbie, of Ozark, MO sisters, Mary Ellen Osborne of Republic, MO, and Madalyn Louderback of Queen Creek, AZ 10 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, sisters, Bernadise Brow and Imelda M. Parsons and brothers, Arthur J. and Cletus Edgar Brow.
