Richard Jacob Langley was born on March 20, 1986, to Arnold and Noemi Langley in Kittitas, Washington.
Richard attended Kamiakin High School where he graduated in 2004. In 2011, Richard met the love of his Shaniece, 4 years later they were married on February 12th of 2015 and had three beautiful children. Richard was a man whose life was defined by love, resilience, and boundless passion. To those who knew him, he was more than just a father, husband, son, and brother—he was a true and loyal friend who was always willing to help those in need. Family was not just an important part of his life; it was the foundation of who he was. He cherished every moment with his wife and loved ones and his children were the center of his world. From an early age, Richard had a natural love for the outdoors. His spirit thrived when surrounded by nature, whether it was camping under starlit skies, hunting or casting his fishing line into the midnight hours which he often did while teaching his daughter how to fish. " Fish don't jump in daytime" was the advice he gave to her during those precious moments together. But one of his greatest joys was riding his bike, where he felt truly free. One of his goals in life was to become a Professional Pro-Max bike rider. Although life had different plans, he was able to take his passion and love for bike riding to spend time with his son teaching him the skills of BMX riding. Richard embraced his true calling as an exceptional father, role model, and protector of his family. Richard’s faith journey began when he gave his life to Christ during his early teens. The deep connection he nurtured with God became a guiding force throughout his life. His kind heart, rooted in an unwavering spirit and was one of his most beautiful and defining traits. He embodied the very essence of compassion and kindness, offering support to those in need and spreading love wherever he went. In addition to being a devoted family man, Richard was also an artist with unmatched skill and creativity. His woodworker skills were that of a Master Worker. His woodworking skills turned the simplest piece of wood into something "Extraordinary" as he always said when he completed a project. From intricate wood crafts to the delicate art of glass blowing, he poured his passion into each creation, leaving behind a legacy of beauty and craftsmanship. Richard had a deep love for animals and his dog Taz. Everywhere Richard went, Taz would be by his side. Richard is survived by his wife, Shaniece Langley, who stood by his side through life’s every challenge and joy; his three beautiful children, Angelia Faith Langley, Robert Jacob Langley, and Kehlani Rae Langley, who were the lights of his life and the recipients of his boundless love. His parents, Arnold and Noemi Langley, who nurtured and supported him; and his sister, Scarlett Langley, shared in his laughter and life’s milestones. Richard’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to love, dedication, faith, and the beauty of embracing every moment with those we cherish.
