Graveside services for Carl Johnson of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. CST Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa Texas.
Graveside rites will be conducted by Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 and military honors provided by U.S. Army from Ft. Hood.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 8 a.m. 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope and Saturday 8 a.m. until service time at CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Home in Pampa, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral home.
Johnson, 80, died April 5, 2010, at his home in Hobbs. He was born March 21, 1930, in Pampa, Texas.
He married Doris Manry Johnson on July 26, 1952, in Clovis, N.M. She died Nov. 21, 2004.
He enjoyed anything mechanical. Those things became his hobbies. He was a devoted husband, father, and granddad. He was always there for his family.
Survivors include three sons, Ricky Johnson of Odessa, Texas, Randy Johnson and wife Jaque of Roswell, Gary Gill of Hobbs four grandchildren, Darrell Johnson and wife Melissa of Houston, Texas, Gary Johnson and wife Shanna of Odessa, Texas, Jessica Walker and husband Rus of Red Line, Penn., and Kylee Hughes and husband R.C. of Hobbs five greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Johnson, parents William and Minnie Jeffcoat, two brothers and three sisters.
