On September 7th the Aguilar family tragically lost a hero as Raymond (Tony) Anthony Aguilar, 68, of Hobbs, New Mexico was called home to be with the Lord.
Tony was born in Artesia but made his home in Hobbs. He was a proud Hobbs Eagle and attended Ranger Jr. College. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Sensei, coach, and mentor. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed movies. He never met a stranger. He walked in faith through Christ and lived by the Spirit. He was always smiling and had kind uplifting words backed by Scripture for everyone he came across. As a mighty man of God, he took the Great Commission to heart. An Ambassador of the Kingdom he introduced many people to the Lord and lead a prison ministry. He touched many lives over the years. He is an inspiration to us all.
He absolutely loved and enjoyed being with his family. His spirit and legacy lives on as he is survived by his loving devoted wife Nancy Aguilar; 3 children Tashia Aguilar, Monica Hart, Anthony Aguilar; 14 grandchildren; Qyauna Barrios, Ocean King, Tasian Barrios, Nevaeh Millican, Tobias Millican, Monica Millican, Nathaniel Aguilar, Olivia Hart, Anneliz Aguilar, Jeremiah Aguilar, Julia Hart, John Thomas Hart, Raiden Aguilar, and Caiden Ortega; 8 great grandchildren Jarrod Schillaci, Coral King, Ember Schillaci, Hali King, Cyrus Barrios; Cannon King, Elsa Gray, and Juliette Gray; siblings Israel Aguilar, Marla Ritter, Darla Chandler, Michael Walters with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He precedes his father and mother, Tony Aguilar Sr. and Feliciana Aguilar, sister Diana Aguilar, and grandson Cyrus Barrios.
This world will be a little less bright without him around. We will be miss him terribly for now until we see him again.
