Raul Scott

A funeral mass for Raul Rags Scott will be 10:00 Thursday, August 30, 2012, at St. Helena Catholic Church with Deacon Sam Navarette presiding. A Rosary service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Chapel of Hope. Rags died August 26, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born August 2, 1947, in Carlsbad, NM, to George and Flora Scott, Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday 8 a.m. 8 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.

He married Judy Dianne Watson in Hobbs February 26, 1972. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church. Rags served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Key Energy until his death. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, Nascar and was a Dallas Cowboy and aUT Texas Longhorn fan. Rags enjoyed outings with his family especially his grandchildren. He coached football for the Boys and Girls Club for many years.

Rags is survived by his wife, Dianne Scott, of Hobbs two sons, Cody Scott of Midland and Casey Scott of Hobbs brother, Joe Scott, and wife Rose, of Hobbs grandchildren, Ciara Scott of Hobbs and Jaise Scott of Elgin, TX, and Jaiden Garcia of Hobbs nephews, Joe and George Scott, both of Hobbs and his nieces, Darla Hargove, of Hobbs and Becky Wisener of Farmington, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Scott.
