Ramona Ward

Ramona Rios Ward 66, of Jal, NM, passed away January 5, 2023, at her home in Jal after battling cancer. She was born March 9, 1956, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX. Ramona married Stacy Ward on December 4, 1989, in Kermit, TX. They shared 33 years together.

Ramona was an amazing and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, shopping, and dancing. Ramona owned a Flower Shop for many years and also had a restaurant. She was also a member of the Catholic Church for a number of years and was always willing to help anyone at any time of need. Ramona was always very proud of her kids and grandkids. She will always be in our hearts.

Ramona is survived by her husband, Stacy Ward: daughter Marissa Ward of Jal, NM, daughter, Veronica Ramos of Jal, NM, grandkids Ruben Ortega Jr and Wife Kristine Ortega, Yave Tercero, Mathew Galindo and wife, Lesielie Galindo, Jasmine Tercero, Brianna Tercero, Nathan Galindo and Uriel Ward, great-grandkids Ian Ortega, Alayna Ortega and Kaleo Tercero, and many loving extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cayetano Rios and Amalia Ortega and son Humberto Galindo Jr.
