Ramon Juarez

Ramon Juarez, 87, passed away on January 24th, 2023. In Hobbs NM. Born in Odem, San Patricio TX, on August 31, 1935.

Ramon was the oldest of 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Ramon was the Husband of Elisa Cantu Juarez. Married on April 18, 1955, in Raymondville, TX. Together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. He was not only a loving husband, but he was also a loving father, brother, uncle, great uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. Through his marriage he was blessed with a son Jamie Juarez wife Delma Martinez-Juarez and grandson Jay Juarez wife Jami Juarez. Adela Lopez, Juan De La Cruz, Eloy Lopez, Linda Romero. Followed by many nieces’, great nieces’, nephews’, great nephews’, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.

Ramon served in the Army from August 31st, 1960- August 20th, 1964. Ramon first came to Hobbs in 1975. He owned his own truck and worked in Mission TX for 20 years. Plains Oil Company in Hobbs NM for 38 years. Nolan H Brunson, and A&J Water Hauling. His last job was picking up his great-great niece Lilliana and from school then taking her home. He would always make us laugh about how Lilliana was not a morning person and made a pouty face like her.

He was a loving father figure to Adela Lopez raised her as his own. Also helped raise his nieces and nephews. He’s going to be missed by many, leaving an important value behind that family is precious and time well spent. Not only spending time with family but also friends. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed shooting pool, going to the horse races even going to the shooting range. He also served the Lord at St Helena and Guadalupe church.
