Quetha Ford, 78, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning after a difficult journey with Alzheimer's. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Temple Baptist Church at 2PM with interment to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Quetha was born June 21, 1938 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Parlin and Delia Dodd. She married Elmer Ford on July 16, 1955. They moved to Hobbs in 1955.
Quetha is survived by her devoted and loving husband Elmer; two sons, LaVoid Ford and his wife, Denise of Hobbs, NM and Rick Ford and his wife, Dian of Katy, Texas; one daughter, Sheila Link and her husband Dale of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Bobby Dean Dodd and Ray Keith (Carolyn) Dodd of Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren and another due in February.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, LaNita Dodd.
Quetha was a loving mother and wonderful homemaker and wife. She began working as a bookkeeper for Blaine Chemical in 1970 and later became co-owners until they retired and sold out in 2008. She loved life and people. She was a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church for fifty years.
