Phyllis Stephens

Phyllis Ann Stephens, 82, was born on May 29, 1938 in Graham, TX to James Wadlow Thornton and Ellan Howell Thornton and passed away on August 10, 2020 in Hobbs, NM.

Phyllis was very loving, compassionate, and devoted to her family and her Heavenly Father. She was a kind, gentle soul who never met a stranger and she was respected and loved by many. Those that are left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Karen G. Ward of Hobbs, NM, and her children; Amy Woodard of Kentucky, Shawn Woodard (Alicia) of Texas and Taylor Harper (Ryan) of Oklahoma. Her son, Alan Greg Allman of Hobbs, NM, and his children; James Allman (Dakota) of Hobbs, NM, and Austin Allman of Texas. Great grandchildren; Jordyn Woodard, Ashton Woodard, Wesley Allman of Hobbs, NM, and Ainsley Harper of Oklahoma. Brother; James W. Thornton (Suzy) of TX. Sister; Lola Ehrlich (Henry) of Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her loving husband A.O. Stephens.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no service at this time and cremation has taken place.
