Peggy Mccommas

Funeral services for Peggy Jane McCommas, 77, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Minister Mike Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Peggy was born September 28, 1932, in Medicine Mound, TX, to Elmer and Ruby Bell. She died May 30, 2011, in Hobbs. She married Ernest McCommas August 20, 1950.

Peggy graduated from HHS in 1950. She was a master seamstress and was a former owner of R R Trophy. She also worked at the Hobbs Flare. In recent years she adopted a rescue dog. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren.

Surviving Peggy is her son, Michael McCommas of Socorro, NM two daughters, Sharon McCommas and husband Bruce Burr of Woodland, CA, and Teri Winfield and husband Bob of Albuquerque, NM brother, Leyton Bell and wife Jonnie of Hobbs eight grandchildren, Angela, Wil, Sarah, Stephen, Bret, Robby, Leslie, Erin and nine greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Ernest two brothers, Laskell and Bob Bell granddaughter, Jennifer and numerous nieces and nephews.
