Funeral services for Peggy Lee Hamilton, 64, of Hobbs are 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor LaVoid Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Hashy;ven Memshy;orial Park.
Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Sunday with the family in attendance from 5-7 p.m.
Peggy went to be with our Lord on June 21, 2007. She passed away in her home in Hobbs with her family near her. She was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Brownwood, Texas.
She married Lonnie L.B. Hamilton on March 1, 1959, at Belvue Baptist Church in Hobbs.
Peggy worked as manager of convenience stores and as a bookkeeper for her husband's business. She enjoyed making friends and meeting people. She always thought of herself last and enjoyed doing things for family and friends. Over the years and through her physical pain, Peggy baby-sat many children whom she held very close to her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandshy;mother. Her family was her greatest joy in life. She attendshy;ed Belvue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, L.B. Hamilton of the home; her son, Lonnie Bob Hamilton Jr.and wife Kristal of Hobbs, N.M.; her daughters, Teresa Gage and husband Guy of Andrews, Texas, and Donna Montes and husband George Jr. of Hobbs, N.M.; her mother, Doris McCasland of Odessa, Texas; her sisters, Patsy Mayo and husband Severn of Longview, Texas and Sandra Gentry and husband George of Phoenix, Ariz.; her grandshy;daughters, Leeanna Lori Roberson and husband Douglas of Lovington, Kerri Kleinsteuber of Odessa, Texas, and Kristina Hamilton of Hobbs, N.M. ; her grandsons, Chad Kleinsteuber and wife Katherine of Farmington, N.M., and Kenneth Hamilton of Hobbs, N.M.; her great-grandsons, K'mron Roberson of Lovington, N.M., Josef Roberson of Lovington, N.M., Jacob Kleinsteuber of Farmington, N.M., and baby boy Kleinsteuber of Farmington, N.M., soon to arrive; her great-granddaughshy;ter, Makenzie Kleinsteuber of Farmington, N.M.; and numershy;ous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth McCasland.
