Pedro Flores

Funeral services for Pedro Flores, 79, of Hobbs will be Thursday, December 23, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements, Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday at Chapel of Hope from 8 a.m. 7 p.m.

Mr. Flores was born February 23, 1931, to Francisco and Merced Flores in El Porvener DB Chihuahua, Mexico. He passed from this life December 19, 2010, at his home in Hobbs, NM. Pedro was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Pedro came to the Hobbs area in 2007. He spent his life as a farmer. He married Manuela Dominguez January 25, 1953, in Chihuahua. Pedro loved music and loved to play the guitar and sing and loved to dance. Whatever the party, he was always asked to sing. He was a very happy person and enjoyed being with his family.

Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Manuela of Hobbs five daughters, Felicitas Munoz, Clara Quintana, Sandra Mendez and Elizabeth Flores all of Hobbs and Micaela Navarette of Las Vegas, NV two sons Merced Flores of Hobbs and Martin Flores of Denver, CO two brothers, Juan and Estaban Flores, four sisters, Lidia Arreola, Maria Martinez, Francisca Peru and Pilar Amaro twenty grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Felix Flores and a son, Roman Flores.
