A joint memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hobbs for Paul Lawrence Davis and Donald Albert Davis. The Rev. John J. Joiner, pastor of the church will officiate.brbrPaul Lawrence Davis was born to Helen Davis and the late Henry James Davis, Sr. in Hobbs, on December 19, 1951. He departed this life on August 9, 2006.brbrPaul was educated in the Hobbs School System and received his high school diploma in 1969 from Hobbs High School. He was an avid athlete and enjoyed playing the game of basketball.brbrDuring the course of his life, he met and fell in love with Clay Ewing, whom he married.brbrMr. Davis is survived by his mother, Helen Davis of Hobbs; a brother, Henry James Davis, Jr. of Hobbs; a wife, Clay Davis of Aurora, CO; a daughter, Ebony; a great-aunt, Mrs. Alta Green of Hobbs; his niece Regina; a nephew, Jonathan; and two grandchildren, Raygan and Rayne; many cousins and other relatives.brbrPreceding him in death is his father, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
