Services will be held at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, for Paul D. Bilbo. Cremation will follow the service.
He will be in state 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at Chapel of Hope.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Hobbs and worked for SPS, now Xcel Energy, for over 30 years. He was active in the Little League program and coached for several years. He was at one time a member of the Hobbs Police Department Reserve program and was an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Burrows Bilbo. They have one daughter, Leslie Malone, and one son, Christopher Bilbo, both of Hobbs; four grandchildren of whom he was extremely proud, Amanda Malone of Lubbock, Texas, and Justin, Christopher Jr., and Brayden Bilbo, all of Hobbs; one brothshy;er, Buddy Watson; three sisshy;ters, Linda Cortez, Diane Wiley and Shirley Welch, all of Louisiana; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha J. and Willie Kelt Bilbo.
