Patsy Wimberly

Pasty Marie Cummings Wimberly was born in Cooper, TX on May 6, 1939 to Henry Edward Cummings and Ora May Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a farmer and Mrs. Cummings a housewife. They had four children, a son Owen Edward, a daughter Betty May, a second son John Cliffton and their last child was Pasty Marie. Patsy was the last of her family to survive. Patsy married the love of her life Garland Alton Wimberly on July 6, 1956. They would have been celebrating 64 years next month. Patsy and Garland faithfully attended Taylor Memorial Baptist Church where she served in the library and helped with vacation bible school. She had a way with people and a special bond with each of her loved ones, family and friends. She was full of life and always the life of the party. Her outgoing personality always drew people to her. Patsy went home to be with the Lord June 17, 2020 at 4:30am. She is survived by her husband Garland, two daughters, Lajuana Marie Martinez and Betty D’aun and husband Alan Beaner, three grandchildren, Adrian Marie Martinez, Robert Wimberly and Christopher Martinez and wife Taelor, and three great grandchildren, Orishi Wimberly, Lyla Marie Martinez, Xolur Wimberly. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to The Gideon’s.
