Patsy Jean Presley

Patsy Jeanne Presley, age 85, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on March 12, 2025. She was born October 26, 1939, in Gladewater, TX to Demous and Gladys Kirkley.

Patsy married the love of her life, James Luther Presley, on November 11, 1959. They spent 56 years always together, until his death in 2016.

She spent her life being a devoted homemaker and taking care of others. Her time was spent helping her family in any way possible. Any time she could be around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was there and loved family get-togethers. Patsy enjoyed to read, watch the news, and listen to K-Love.

Patsy is survived by daughter, Penny Emrick of Hobbs, New Mexico, son Dennis (Holly) Presley of Maranda, Arizona, grandsons Jason (Amber) Emrick of Hobbs, New Mexico and Andrew Presley of Tucson, Arizona, and granddaughter D’Lisa (Bobby) Edwards of Livingston, Texas; as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband James Presley, her parents, sister Peggy Day, brother Jimmy Kirkley, grandson Austin Presley and son-in-law Spencer Emrick.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Covenant Hospital in Hobbs, New Mexico for their loving care and kindness during this time.
