Patricia “Trisha” Ann Jones, 71, was born December 12, 1949 in Brady, TX to Marvin and Mae Jean Sullins. She left this earth on August 22, 2021 in Lovington, NM to be with her heavenly Father. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 30, at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs, NM.
Trisha was a kind hearted person who loved the Lord with all her heart and showed God’s love to everyone she met. She was an artist and often did crafts. Trisha enjoyed making angel pins so she could give them away to people. She was known as the angel lady to many and her infectious smile could light up any room.
On September 2, 1967 Kress Jones married his sweetheart, Trisha Sullins. They had four children; Clint, Marcy, Kirt and Kristy. Through 54 years of marriage, Trisha enjoyed life on the ranch with her husband, children and many of her beloved animals. She loved hosting family get togethers and always had an abundance of food.
Trisha worked with Hobbs Municipal Schools and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Trisha devoted much of her time volunteering to help others. She volunteered as a church librarian, Sunday school teacher, 4-H Leader, Pink Lady, CASA volunteer, board member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame, board member of Estacado Federal Credit Union as well as holding many positions with NMEOP. Throughout her busy schedule Trisha still found time to earn her college degree in Education at College of the Southwest.
Trisha is survived by husband Kress Jones, their children Marcy and husband Sean Field of Eagle, Idaho, Kirt and wife Jill Jones of Hobbs, and Kristy Jones of Hobbs. Ten grandchildren: Mitchell, Benjamin and Heather Field, Trent, Zain, and Katye Jones and baby Steven, Zachary Espino, John Taylor and Haley Garrett, Ember Smith, six great grandchildren, many beloved foster grand babies, and her sister Derinda Catlett in Eden, TX.
Trisha was preceded in death by her son, Clint Jones, brother, Duane Sullins, her uncle, Jerry Sullins and her parents, Marvin and Mae Jean Sullins.
