Funeral services for O. D. Henley will be Saturday, October 20, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the chapel at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Interment will be after services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park, 2201 E. Stanolind Rd., Hobbs, NM. O. D. died October 18, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born February 27, 1924, in Walnut Ridge, AR, to Lee and Bertha Henley.
O. D. served his country in the US Navy. He was a WWII disabled prisoner of war and was recaptured. He was a selfemployed business man. O. D. was a devout Christian man, a good father and provider and loved his family. He attended Belvue Baptist Church.
Surviving O. D. are two sons, Odis Henley of San Angelo, TX, and Tim Henley, and wife Lyn, of Hobbs a daughter, Tawana Timberlake, and husband Mark, of Boerne, TX a brother, Buck Hamilton of Artesia, NM two sisters, Florene Coburn of Farwell, TX, and Nina Starr of Roswell, NM grandchildren, Brandy and Chris Knight of Yelm, WA, John Henley of Midland, TX, Alison Henley of Midland, TX, Dustin Henley of San Angelo, TX, Heather Burns, and husband Coty, of Ft. Lewis, WA, Brittany and Courtney Henley of Hobbs and a greatgrandson, Tylor James Burns of Ft. Lewis, WA.
Preceding O. D. in death was his wife, Ozella Henley. She passed August 31, 2004.
