A funeral Mass for Nicolasa Pacheco of Matthews, N.C., forshy;medy of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at St. Helena Catholic Church with Father Dennis Foushy;ntain officishy;ating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pacheco, 85, died Jan. 4, 2008, in Charlotte, N.C. She was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Loving, NM. She married Jose R. Pacheco on Sept. 16, 1935, in Mexico.
Mrs. Pacheco lived in Hobbs most of her life. She worked very hard raising her nine children. She was active in her service and duty in church, always giving of her time and love. Mrs. Pacheco moved to North Carolina to be with her daughter in 2000 due to her illshy;ness. All of Mrs. Pacheco's family participated in her lovshy;ing care. She will always be remembered and loved.
She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.
Survivors include five sons, Roberto Pacheco of Amarillo, Texas, Larry Pacheco of Hobbs, N.M., Alfred Pacheco of Albuquerque, N.M., Arthur of Albuquerque, N.M., and Everett Pacheco of Albuquerque; N.M.; a daughshy;ter, Lillian Pacheco Callahan; 25 grandchildren; 48 greatshy;grandchildren; and 11 greatshy;great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Pacheco on Jan. 6, 1975; and three sons, Salvador Pacheco, Joe H. Pacheco and Jaime Pacheco.
