Nettie Walstad

Nettie Rose Walstad passed away in Hobbs, NM on September 3, 2016. She was born March 28, 1931 in O'Donnel, TX to Herbert and Beulah Parker.

Nettie was a resident of Hobbs, NM since 1946 and graduated from Hobbs High School in 1949. She was an operator and service rep. at GTE for 21 ½ years. She was a member of Church of Hobbs. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing games with friends, some were her high school friends. Nettie had a large elephant collection and loved traveling.

She is survived by her daughters; Peggy Nesbit and husband Mark of San Juan River, NM and Carolyn Sue Whittington and husband Mark of Lovington, NM, and one son; Larry Dickey of Hobbs, NM, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Dickey, husband of 18 years, the father of her children and her late husband Jack Walstad.
