Nathan Dimock

July 29, 1990 — August 3, 2017

On July 29, 1990, Johnathan and Rosa Dimock were blessed with a beautiful baby son, whom they immediately named Nathan Ryan Dimock. He was born and raised in Hobbs, graduating from Hobbs High School.
A Midland resident, Nathan, age 27, loved his family and would often come to Hobbs to visit friends and family. It was on Aug. 3, 2017, while visiting his grandmother in Hobbs, he died in his sleep.
Visitation is from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at First United Methodist Church. Arrangements are with Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Condolences may be made online at: www.chapelofhopefunerals.com. A repast will take place after the service at the church.
Nathan was a very loving and encouraging person with a heart of gold. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had a special place in his heart for everyone who crossed his path.
He was a real genuine individual and those who had the pleasure of knowing him knew he was special. But greater pleasure was awarded to those who had daily interactions with him.
He was a giver of life and would help anyone in need. He would take the shirt off his back to give to someone who needed it more.
Nathan was sports enthusiast. He missed his life calling, because he would have made a dynamic sports newscaster. He was endowed with sports facts and history - from basketball to football - and other sports as well.
Relatives and friends say they would be forever grateful to have known and shared with Nathan during his lifetime.
He attended college in Midland and was employed to help pay toward his education.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his father, Johnathan Dimock; his mother and step-father, Rosa and Joe Wright; two brothers, Richard Alvarado and Corey Dimock, both of Hobbs; two nephews, Richard Alvarado, Jr. La'Vaughn Alvarado, and Ma'Laya Alvarado, all of Hobbs; two grandmothers, Judy Roberts of Hobbs and Evangelina Ponce of Midland; a grandfather, Pedro Ponce; three aunts and three uncle, Todd and Melissa Dimock of Hobbs; Mary and Marcial Ramirez, Pedro and Jose Gutierrez, Lorie Gutierrez and Josh Olguin, all of Midland; 13 cousins, 13 great-cousins and a host of other family.
Nathan is preceded in death by his grandfather Lee Roberts and great-grandparents Ernie and Mary Rainbolt.
