Myrna Aloha Baucom, 70, of Hobbs, peacefully passed away September 28,2016 in her home surrounded by loved ones after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home on October 3, 2016 at 10:00 am, following open visitation at 8:00 - 10:00 am, with Pastor Johnny Blaylock and Pastor Dave Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Myrna was born in Gainsville, Texas to Lloyd Daniel and Aline Tobetha Green on November 17, 1945. She moved to Hobbs 35 years ago and ended up meeting and marrying the love of her life, Earl Baucom August 1, 2001. She was a member of The Fellowship of Believers Church, the Moose lodge and the VFW. In her retirement, she enjoyed yard work and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Myrna is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Aline; her brother John Green; 3 sisters Mildred Brockway, Ruth Cayetano, Carmen Worthy; and her son, Daniel Carson "Corky" Cochran.
Myrna is survived by her husband Earl Claude Baucom; son Timothy M. (Heather) Rogers of Greenbrier, AR; son David D. (Tracy) Rogers of Hot Springs, AR; son James M. Cochran Jr. of Hobbs; daughter Carol Lind of Hobbs, NM; son Wesley Baucom of Grandbury, TX; son Shannon Baucom of Grandbury, TX; daughter Tracie Baucom of Hobbs, NM; sister Carolyn Tow of Fort Worth, TX; Glenda Greenway of Salisaw, OK; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tim Rogers, David Rogers, Lloyd Cochran, Wesley Baucom, Shannon Baucum, John Hart, honorary pallbearers are Nathaniel Lind and Mickey Cochran
