Muriel German

A memorial service for Muriel J. Pat German of Hobbs, N.M., will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place.

Mrs. German, 94, died Nov. 4, 2007, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Coleman, Texas. She married Robert Henry German in December 1938 in Coleman, Texas.

Mrs. German was a 1936 graduate of Jennie Edmondson School of Nursing in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pat dedicated her life to helping others in her nursshy;ing career and with Girl Scouts. She and her husband were avid outdoor and nature lovers. They were entrepreshy;neurs. Pat moved to Hobbs, N.M., in 1993 to be close to family. She was the last surshy;viving child of Harvey and Betty Patton of Coleman, Texas.

Survivors include a son, David German and wife Silvia of Divide, Colo.; a daughter, Ann Callin and fiance Ruey Hodapp of Dayton, Ohio; four nephews, George Herd and wife Peggy of Hobbs, N.M., Gene Samberson and wife Gail of Lovington, N.M., Eddie Samberson and wife Peggy of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Larry Herd of Arizona; two nieces, Frances Stephenson and husband Bill of Abilene, Texas, and Patty Williams and husband Magness of Burleson, Texas; her grandshy;children, Kari, Heather, Shannon, Tanya, Nora and Bobby; and numerous greatshy;-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Mrs. German was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry German on Feb. 1, 1999; her parents, George Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Patton; two brothers, Alden and Pat Patton; and two sisters, Mavis Herd and Lucille Samberson.
