Funeral services for Mildred M. Willis, 84, of Glenn Heights, Texas, formerly of Hobbs, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6620 N. Grimes. Ken Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2 7 p.m. Tuesday with the family in attendance from 4 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mildred died July 1, 2011, in Glenn Heights, Texas. She was born March 20, 1927, in Salem, NM. She married George H. Willis on March 11, 1946, in Las Cruces, NM.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by many family members and friends in New Mexico and Texas. Mildred was blessed with a sweet and loving disposition while being loved and cherished by all she met. She had great faith in the sooncoming of our sweet Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was a member of Hobbs Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors inlude three sons, George Alto Willis and wife Retta of Alma, AR, Gary Lynn Willis of Fort Smith, AR, and Terry Lee Willis of Glenn Heights, TX two brothers, Vince Vann Higginbotham and wife Marjorie of Phoenix, AZ, and Charlie Lee Higginbotham and wife Anita of Salem, NM two sisters, Betty Jean Hart of Ft Worth, TX, and Clydean Fay Criner of Mountain Home, ID 10 grandchildren 14 greatgrandchildren and six greatgreatgrandchildren.
