Michael Montgomery

A memorial service for Michael L. Montgomery of Hobbs, N.M., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Catherwood Jr. officiating.

Cremation will take place at a later date. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with the family in attenshy;dance during this time.

Mr. Montgomery, 56, died April 16, 2008, at his home in Hobbs, N.M. He was born Feb. 21, 1952, in South Bend, Ind. He married Cindy Montgomery on Nov. 21, 1981, in South Bend, Ind.

Michael worked for Gourmet Foods and DPI. He helped with Teen Court, enjoyed working with wood and was an elder at Grace Lutheran Church, where he was a member.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Montgomery of the home; two sons, Eric M. Montgomery of Las Cruces, N.M., and Paul M. Montgomery of Hobbs, N.M.; three brothers, Timothy Roy Montgomery of Berlin, Germany, Patrick Montgomery of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Dennis Montgomery of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a grandson, Cole Michael Montgomery of Las Cruces, N.M., who was born April 16, 2008, the day his grandfather died.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Robert George Montgomery and Marian Ruth Wilson Montgomery.
