Michael Chapman

Mr. Chapman, 47, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born May 26, 1959, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Bret moved to Hobbs, N.M. to start his business Hobbs Auto Air. He later worked for Hobbs Municipal Schools for many years. He will be remembered as a good mechanic and friend.

Survivors include his father, Richard Chapman and wife Nina of Albuquerque, N.M.; his stepfather and wife, Bill and Glenda Nelson of Uvalde, Texas; his daughter, Darlaina K. Chapman of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepbrothers, Gary Nelson and wife Caroline of Albuquerque, N.M., and Beni Argijo and wife Tamra of Lovington, N.M.; four sisters, Terry and husband Barry Woods of Hobbs, N.M., Stephanie Chapman of South Carolina, Nikki Dyer and husshy;band Randy of Colorado and Sherolyn Price and husband Ron of Albuquerque, N.M.; his grandparents, Eulita and Hank Welch of Navajo Dam, N.M., Bennie Salazar of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bobbye Johnston of Lubbock, Texas; extended family memshy;bers and many nieces and nephews.

Bret was preceded in death by his mother Donna Nelson, and his grandparents.
