Michael Burns

Michael Burns, 19, of Hobbs, passed from this life March 10, 2013, in Hobbs. He was born June 2, 1993 in Portales, NM. Michael enjoyed working on cars, spending time with friends, playing pool or being out shooting guns. Michael was a cutup, pulling pranks on people, and always had a smile when he walked through a room.

He is survived by his mother and dad, Connie and Terry Russell of Hobbs, NM his father, Mike Burns of Portales, NM one sister, Kimberly Russell and a brother Terry Russell, both of Hobbs, NM two adopted brothers, Chase Rains and William Taylor, both of Hobbs, NM grandmothers, Darlene Turner and Eddwina Burns, both of Portales, NM five aunts, Sue Burton of Clovis, NM, Della Solley and Marie Rogers of Dover, AR, Donna Ward and Susan Kuncannon, both of Belton, TX and four uncles, David Ferguson of Hobbs, NM, Robert Turner of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Burns and Billy Burns both of Portales, NM.

He is preceded in death by grandfather Adrain Turner, a great aunt Jaunita Putman and second cousin Peter Brown.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Jim Camp officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, and 10 service time Saturday March 16, 2013.
