Michael Acosta

Funeral services for Michael Acosta will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at New Life Fellowship with Pastor Millie Miller officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011, 1 7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.

Acosta died March 30, 2011, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1967, in Hobbs to Jose and Geneva Acosta. He worked as a dispatcher for a trucking company.

Michael loved to attend basketball games and was coach himself coaching basketball, baseball and softball for various associations. He also enjoyed fixing cars, coin collecting and those Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by two sons, Jerrel Acosta and Steven Carrillo, three daughters, Avery Acosta, Vicky and Rachel Carrillo parents, Joe and Geneva Acosta brothers, Joe and Robert Amanda Acosta sister, Lilly Acosta and three grandsons, Bryan Acosta, James Hernandez and Manuel Carrillo, all being from Hobbs.

Memorial contributions may be sent in Michaels name to the Boys and Girls Club of Hobbs, 212 E. Dunnam St., Hobbs, New Mexico 88240.
