Mary White

Mary Faye White, known to family and friends as Grannie and Mamie, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at her home in Hobbs among family and friends.

Mary was born in Memphis, Texas, on Aug. 18, 1928. Mary and her loving husband, Don, were married Sept. 9, 1969, in Hobbs, N.M., at Castle Aveshy;nue Baptist Church. They started a busishy;ness, Cable Service Compshy;any in Hobbs in 1973. They retired and sold the business to their children in 1998.

Mary's greatest joy in life was being with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of Sandy Sam's RV Club. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Mary was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husshy;band, Donald Wayne White of the home; three daughters, Judy Long of Hobbs, Janie Chambless and husband Marty of Kingsland, Texas, and Dinah Lawson and husshy;band Randy of Hobbs; one son, Donald Wayne White Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Lila King and husband Tomiva of Carlsbad, N.M., Betty McGuire and husband Pete of Hobbs, Margie Seedorf of Alamogordo, N.M., and Sheila Duin of Kermit, Texas; two brothers, Tom Schuessler and wife Cindi of Kingsland, Texas, and Bill Bilbrey of Kingsland, Texas; nine grandshy;children, Jessica Dawes and husband Tim of Rio Rancho, N.M., Donnie Chambless and wife Stacie of Hobbs, Danny Miller of Hobbs, Andrea Day and husband Doug of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Kimberly Mahan and husband Jamy of Hobbs, and Donald Wayne White III and wife Megan of Tahlequah, Okla., Travis White of Alaska and James White of Tulsa, Okla.; seven great-grandchildren, Chance Chambless of Hobbs, Lindsay Jennings of Hobbs, TJ Dawes of Rio Rancho, N.M., Alex Mahan of Hobbs, Derrick Dawes of Rio Rancho; N.M., Xander White and Sydney Catheryn White of Tahlequah, Okla.; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Mary White of Bryson, Texas. Mary was also survived by many nieces, nephews, greatshy;-nieces, great-nephews and pershy;sonal close friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ollie Schuessler; a brother; and a great granddaughter, Danielle Dawes.
