Mary Frances Rogers, 75, of Seminole died December 18, 2010, at Seminole Memorial Hospital. She was born December 15, 1936, in Odonnell, Texas. She married Roscoe Rogers on July 13, 1957, in Lamesa, Texas. He died in August, 2004.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. CST Monday, December 20, 2010, at Odonnell Cemetery. Monty Barnett will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 4 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mary lived in Monument, NM, for over 50 years. She was employed with Western Auto and retired with Lea County State Bank after 20 years of service. Mary was an avid reader before she lost her sight to diabetes. She and her husband owned registered appaloosa, quarter and cutting horses. They enjoyed horse shows.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Browne and husband Mickey of Seminole, TX two brothers, Jones Pierce and wife Lil of San Diego, California, and Billy Pierce and wife Marlene of Lubbock, TX two sisters, Betty Cook of Odonnell, TX, and Jean Vulgamore of Odonnell, TX two grandchildren two greatgrandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jones and Edna Pierce husband Roscoe Rogers and son, Gary Dale Rogers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in Seminole, TX, or the American Diabetes Association.
