Mary Hudson

Memorial services for Mary Margaret Hudson, 90 of Hobbs, will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. June 22, 2012, at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor David Matkins officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery. Margaret died June 12, 2012, in Hobbs, NM. She was born April 7, 1922, in Lamesa, TX, to John and Ida Matthews.

She, and her husband John, moved to Hobbs in 1965. Margaret was a homemaker and loved chasing her children and grandchildren. She was a world traveler. Margaret served as a volunteer chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary and for the VA clinic.

Surviving Margaret are three sons, Max and wife Margaret, Jerald and wife Suzanne and Gene and wife Helen, all of Hobbs three brothers, Robert Matthews of Seminole, TX, Gail Matthews of Palm Springs, CA, and Lowell Matthews of Houston, TX ten grandchildren and fourteen greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents her husband, a son, Steve Hudson two brothers and a sister.
