Funeral services for Mary Maxine Granby of Hobbs, N.M., are 10 a.m. Thursday; Nov. 1, 2007, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Jotty Kinney officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with the family in attendance from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Granby; 91, died Oct. 29, 2007, at her home in Hobbs, N.M. She was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Dugar, Ind. She marshy;ried Lawshy;rence M. Grshy;anby on Mashy;rch 26, 1938, in Oblong, Ill.
Maxine was a Chrisshy;tian and had been an active member of First United Methodist Church. Her health prevented her from being as active in the last few years. She had been a member of the Ruth Circle and had spent many summers working at Glorietta and the Sacramento Camps. She was a member of the Senior Citizens, enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, canning for her family and making homeshy;made noodles. Maxine was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandshy;mother.
Survivors include her husshy;band, Lawrence M. Granby of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Larry O. Granby and wife Vi of Farmer's Branch, Texas; two daughters, Kay Felts and husshy;band Jerry of Hobbs, N.M., and Jone Fisher and husband Johnny of Lubbock, Texas; four grand- children, Debbie and Trey Owens of Visalia, Calif., Dana and Chuck Ankerholz of Hobbs, N.M., Donna and Michael Rutledge of Hobbs, N.M., and Jeff and Jennifer Fisher of Ransom Canyon, Texas; and five great-grandshy;children, Courtney and Caitlin Owens of Visalia, Calif., Britain and Cambria Rutledge of Hobbs, N.M., and Jack Fisher of Ransom Canyon, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisshy;ters.
