Mary M. Bruner, 83, passed away early Saturday morning following a brief illness at the Stein Hospice Care Center of Sandusky, Ohio.
She was temporarily residshy;ing at the Community at Parkvue Health Care Center In Sandusky, Ohio.
Mary was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., to the late Edmond and Helen Fehrenbach McElligott. She married Dr. William R. Bruner Jan. 22, 1945, and moved to Eunice, N.M. They later moved to Hobbs where they stayed until her husshy;band's deashy;th in 2006. They were inseparable for 61 years in a wonderful marriage.
Mary was a member of New Life Fellowship in Hobbs. She loved the Lord and her faith carried her through until the end. She was a loving, doting mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her famishy;ly was her life. Mary was a devoted friend to so many and loved people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her six children, Karen Mike Richardson of Boyd, Texas, Rita Don Bratton of Hobbs, N.M., Dr. William D. Bruner of Huron, Ohio, Michael Jana Bruner of Lodi, Calif., John Dorothy Bruner of Sandusky, Ohio, and Dr. Paul Robin Bruner of Sandusky, Ohio. She had 17 grandchilshy;dren and 15 great-grandchilshy;jren; a sister, Barb Jack Fritz of Silver Spring, Md.; and a brother, Edmond Pat McElligott of Independence, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. William R. Bruner; and a sister, Geraldine Fritz.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm at Chapel of Hope at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, with Pastor Millie Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
She will lie in state 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. today. The family will greet friends 4-6 p.m.
