Martha Wright

Funeral services for Martha Caward Wright will be Thursday, May 19, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Billy Chedister officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, noon 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.

Martha died May 13, 2011, at Heartland Care of Hobbs. She was born September 10, 1948, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to John and Leota Caward. She moved to Hobbs in 1955 and worked for GTE for over 31 years. The things she loved to do were ceramics, knitting and genealogy. She was an artist, a writer, loved flower arranging and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Martha leaves behind her daughter, Tyra Wright of Hobbs sister, Vera Rogers and husband Chris of Albuquerque, NM 3 granddaughters, Jessica Lopez of Hobbs and Isabel Carrillo and Angel Cortez of CA 3 nephews, Jonathan Gregory, Joshua and Daniel Rogers cousin Jim Britton and wife Judy of Hobbs and brother Darrell Grayson of OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leota Ruth Bozarth.
