Marilyn Kight Skrifvars passed from this life at her home in Hobbs on November 17, 2013, surrounded by family who loved her dearly.

She was born December 12, 1938 in El Paso, Texas to John and Pauline Kight. She married Harold Walter Skrifvars on May 4, 1968 in Denver, Colorado.

She attended school in Hobbs, and graduated from Hobbs High School in 1956.

She worked for Daniels Insurance Company in Hobbs for a short time before moving to Denver. She worked for G.A. Talbert as Vice President for the remainder of her working years.

Marilyn loved her family and especially loved watching her Denver Broncos and the Texas Longhorns play football. She also enjoyed spending time at her lake house, and boating at Horsetooth Reservoir in F. Collins, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walt and her parents John and Pauline Kight.

Marilyn is survived by two brothers Larry Patsy Kight of Hobbs and their two children, Zan Dale Stout and Jimmy Susan Kight Michael Vivian Kight of Austin and their son Kristopher and one sister, Donna Lee of Hobbs. A special niece, Kathy Rodriguez of Hobbs, and her children Kari Nick Fregia, and Jennifer Rodriguez and a special nephew, Mark Tina Lee of Hobbs, and their children, Tommy Lee, Jordan Chyanne Lee and Michelle Lee. She is also survived by two greatgreat nieces, Larissa Rodriguez and Khloe Trujillo and three greatgreat nephews Romeo Romero, Jayvion Rodriguez, and Zayden Lee.
