Marilyn Dyer

Funeral services for Marilyn Joanne Gooch Dyer, 75, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at Crosswinds Church officiated by Pastor Brad Reimers. Visitation will be Thursday, 2 7 p.m. with the family in attendance from 5 7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Marilyn went home on June 7, 2013, to be with her Lord after a lengthy illness. She was at home with her family when she passed. She was born October 7, 1937, in Modesto, CA, to Essie Belle Kelley. She enjoyed family, friends, gardening and especially golf. Marilyn was a member of Crosswinds Church. She had many lifelong friends and loved them all. Marilyn was employed by M B Fishing Tools for over 20 years as office manager. She retired in the 90s to enjoy her home and family.

Surviving Marilyn are her sons, Kelley Dyer, and wife Dawn, and Ricky Dyer, and wife Janie grandchildren, Chris McAdams and Maranda and Brent Dyer greatgrandchildren, Chance Miles, Kimberly McAdams, J. C. Dyer and Kailey Dyer brothersinlaw, Marx Dyer and wife Deanna, and Barry Dyer, and wife Beverly and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 51 years, Joe Dyer, Jr., daughter, Kim McAdams, and sister, Patsy Welch.

Special thanks to family and friends for their support and to all of her caregivers at Lea Regional hospital and Covenant Medical Center.
