alignjustifyFuneral services for Marie Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Pastor La Void Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

alignjustifyVisitation is noon-6 p.rn. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, with the family in attendance from 4-6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope and Wednesday from 8 a.m.- service time at Chapel of Hope.

alignjustifyArrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

alignjustifyMrs. Williams, 83, died March 15, 2009, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1925, in Cottonwood, New Mexico. She married R.D. Williams on February 11, 1941, in Hobbs, New Mexico.

alignjustifyMarie retired as a switchboard operator at Lea Regional Medical Center. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady. Marie enjoyed square dancing and genealogy.

alignjustifyShe was of the Lutheran faith.

alignjustifySurvivors include three daughters, Teresa Sadler and husband Travis of Hobbs, New Mexico, Colleen Markhart and husband Larry of Ellendale, North Dakota, and Jan Sliger and husband Ken of Midland, Texas; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-gra:ndchildren.

alignjustifyMarie was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Williams, on January 29, 1992; her parents, William and Mary Lulu Turner; and her siblings.
