Marie Gilmore

Cora Marie Gilmore, 89, was born March 18, 1932 in Nocona, Texas to Walter Sidney Bourland and Mary Langford Bourland. She passed away April 17, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas.

Marie was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, pets and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help to any misplaced spider or snake that happened to get lost in this modern society. She regularly donated to animal rescue shelters and kitchens that feed the elderly and homeless population. She dedicated her life to raising her children and showering her grandchildren with love and guidance.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; Thomas William Gilmore, her son: Thomas Wiley Gilmore, daughter; Mary Ashlock and grandson Trey Cody Gilmore. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Gilmore, one brother Walter Sidney Bourland and his wife Akiko, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces.

A private burial service will be held at a later date in Ringgold, Texas.
