Maribel Burciaga

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maribel Burciaga. She succumbed to complications of her heart, on August 24, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas, where she passed away peacefully.

Daughter of Manuela Soto, Maribel was born in Van Horn, TX, December 26, 1961, and was raised in Ciudad, Juarez, MX. On November 10th, 2008, she married Roque Burciaga in Hobbs, NM where they lived and shared a full and loving life together.

The world is a little bit darker as it has lost a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a beautiful human being. She was light and love to all those who came close to her.

She is survived by her beloved husband Roque Burciaga, her four children (Maria, Raquel, Rebecca, & David Astorga), her grandchildren (Anais Ramirez, Sebastian Astorga, Airam & Joaquin Olvera, Jeremias & Genesis Salazar, & soon to be born Brissa Astorga), and great grandchildren (Mia, Ella, & Emilio Nañez).
