Graveside services for Elaine McCarty will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1 6 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 4 6 p.m. and Monday, 8 a.m. 12 noon at Chapel of Hope. Elaine died March 13 at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born April 26, 1934, in Kilgore, TX, to Paul and Irma Jones. Donald C. McCarty and Elaine married 1951 in Hobbs. He died July 23, 1989.

Elaine was a very good seamstress and enjoyed sewing for the public. She had several entries in the arts and crafts fair and loved traveling. She was a member of the red hat society at Hobbs Health Care.

Surviving Elaine is her son, Butch McCarty, and wife Diane, of Hobbs, NM daughter, Paula Morgan, of Colorado Springs, CO sister, Pauline Lacey of Kilgore, TX brother, Paul Jones of Mt. Pleasant, TX grandsons, Daniel McCarty, and wife Amanda, of Waco, TX, and Dustin McCarty, and wife Susan, of Hobbs, NM 3 greatgrandsons, Aidan, Liam and Dawson cousin, Judy Heard and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.
