Margaret Cavner

Services for Margaret Marie Cavner, 79, of Levelland, Texas, formally of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10:00 am at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Margaret was born to Oda Lester and Bessie Lorene Daves, March 30, 1934 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She passed from this life, June 21, 2013 in Levelland. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Minister Jay Kelly will officiate. There will b a private family viewing on Monday at the funeral home.

On March 5, 1957, in Ft. Worth,TX, she married the love of her life, Robert Charles Cavner.

Margaret had lived in Hobbs since 1957 before moving to Levelland to be close to her family. She was a homemaker, very dedicated to her family. Her greatest joy was playing with her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and fishing with her husband. Margaret was a great cook, but especially enjoyed baking. She was a member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ, the Moose Lodge, VFW Womens Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Cavner,of Levelland, son, Johnny Cavner and wife Brenda of Runaway Bay, TX, daughter, Kim Shipman and husband, Robert of Levelland a brother Odis Daves and wife Diana of Moses Lake, WA, sister, Juanita Spangler and husband, Ron of Hobbs.

Preceding Margaret in death are her parents,a brother, Carl Ray Daves and two sisters, Betty Jo Rogers and Joan Creed and husband, Dick.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, 1356 NM 236, PORTALES, nm 881309411.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope.
