A funeral service for Margaret Carothers of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Pastor Billy Chidester will officiate. Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 6 p.m. and Monday 8 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
Carothers, 86, died March 3, 2010, at her home in Hobbs. She was born August 10, 1923, in Clarksville, Arkansas. She married Jack Carothers in July, 1986, in Graham, Texas.
Margaret was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and best friend. She was dearly loved by family and friends. Margaret loved her First Baptist Church family, where she was a member.
Survivors include Jack Carothers of Hobbs sons Charles Brown Lyon and wife Cheryl of Midland, Texas, and Anthony W. Lyon of Midland, Texas one brother, Clarence Robert Brown, Jr. of Sachse, Texas four sisters, Marie Hutchison of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Dorothy Barbaree of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Ruth Adams of Lovington, and Patsy Hadicke of Bixby, Oklahoma ten grandchildren numerous greatgrandchildren and some greatgreatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice Flowers and Jacqueline DAnn Crow.
