Manuela Perales

Manuela "Nela" Perales, 88, was born June 27, 1928 in Kenedy, TX to Jesus and Anna Garcia. She passed away in Hobbs on December 21, 2016 in Hobbs, NM.

Manuela married Joe G. Perales on November 23, 1946. She was a homemaker and attended St. Helena Catholic Church in Hobbs. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, exercising, fishing, and traveling with her husband. She especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Corina Prieto; son, Joe Perales, Jr; daughter, Maria Salas (Antonio); son-in-law Freddie Longoria, all of Hobbs, 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Antonio Garcia of Clovis, NM and Cesario Garcia of Brownwood, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; grandsons, Joe Longoria and Leonel Perales; daughter, Lupe Longoria; great-granddaughter Estrella Rudy; great-grandson, Rodney Rudy, Jr.; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
