Manuela Garza

Manuela Mellie Ortega Garza was born Valentines Day, 1934, to Gavina and Francisco Ortega in Kent, Texas. She entered into eternal life July 11, 2011, in Hobbs. Funeral services for Manuela will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at St. Helena Catholic Church. A rosary service was held for her at Chapel of Hope Wednesday, July 13. Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 8 a.m. 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements.
Mellie married Adolph Bitela Garza, Sr. on August 14, 1954, and they had four children Adolph Garza Jr. deceased, Dora, Gilbert and Anthony. Mellie was of the Catholic faith and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe.
She is survived by Dora and husband, Paul Garcia, Anthony and wife Emily Garza, Ester and husband Armando Ruiz and Yolanda Ybanez 14 grandchildren, Gloria Ann, Yvonne, Jessica, Mindy, Freddy, Amy, Alice, Theresa, Victor, Eric, Anthony, Jr., Michael, Manuel and Elijah 14 greatgrandchildren, Cheianne, Adrianna, Ashlynn, Dakotah, Alexander, Ethan, Zaniah, NaLaya, Xaviar, Jaelynn, Joshua, Destiny, Jayden, Elijah and 1 greatgreatgranddaughter, Neiomi Heavyn 2 sisters, Mary Santos Garza and Linda and husband Sam Benavides 1 brother, Frank Chito Ortega and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Adolph, Jr. 3 sisters, Geneva, Chita, Felipa 5 brothers, Elias, Rito, Tiquio, Ismael and Mago.
