Manuel Hernandez, Sr.

A funeral mass for Manuel Hernandez, R, 70, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe. A Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 31 at Chapel of Hope. Visitation will be 8 a.m. 8 p.m. Friday at Chapel of Hope. Interment will be in Prairie Haven Memorial Park after services. Manuel died August 29, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born February 10, 1942, in LaMosca, El Oro, Mexico.

Manuel was a farmer and his passion was horses and cattle. He was the greatest horseman ever in the eyes of his family. He was a member of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Manuel is his mother, Santos Renteria, of Mexico mother of his children, Maria S. Hernandez of Hobbs three sons, Raul Hernandez and wife Reginalda of Hobbs, Manuel Hernandez of Hobbs and Octavio Hernandez, and wife Alexandra Perto, of Wichita, KS daughter, Maria De La Luz and husband Sanchez seven sisters, Consuelo, Rosario, Santos, Josefina, Raquel, Soledad and Lidia and 5 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his dad and a sister.
