Maggie Mitchell

Maggie B. Mitchell, 87, of Hobbs, passed from this life February 28, 2013, in Hobbs. She was born November 5, 1925, in Ringgold, TX, to George and Margaret Hughes.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at Chapel of Hope. Visitation will be Monday 8:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in the Ringgold Cemetery in Ringgold, TX.

Maggie married James E. Mitchell October 23, 1946, in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother as well as a caregiver. She enjoyed her special group of friends.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Ross of Hobbs and Peggy Ross, and husband Rube, of Lucas, TX a brother, George Thomas Hughes of Lubbock a sister Avis Kirkendall of Crosbyton, TX a daughterinlaw, Tina Mitchell of El Paso, TX six grandchildren, Kate Childres, Jane Evan Ross, Tavis Evans Ross, Janie Kay Hanson, Christy Davies and Catherine, Mitchell and 5 greatgrandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband in 1976 and a son, James A. Mitchell, 2 sisters, and a brother.
