Mae Roberson

On May 10, 1943, a baby girl was born to Wallace and Essie Mitchell in Boley, Oklahoma they named her Mae Dene.

Mae Dene attended Ward Chapel AME Church where she professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She attended school in Boley, OK. After graduating, she married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Roberson. To this union five children were born. Mae Dene moved to Hobbs, NM, in 1977, where she remained until her death.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, one sister, a daughter and a son. She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Letha Roberson two sons, Melvin and Donald Roberson, all of Hobbs, NM six grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren three brothers, Eddie Lee Mitchell of Oklahoma City, OK, Cletus Mitchell, and wife Verna, of Okemah, OK, Robert Mitchell, and wife Helen, of Tulsa, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Chapel of Hope officiated by Pastor Ray Ortega. Visitation will be Sunday, 1 5 p.m. at the Chapel.
