Lucille Monsey

November 23, 1925 — January 4, 2017

Lucille Monsey was born to Guy and Minnie Houser in Sipe Springs, TX on November 23, 1925. She met William B. Monsey, Jr in Comanche County, TX. They were married July 11, 1941 in Coleman, TX.

The family moved to Hobbs, NM in 1955 where later Mrs. Monsey owned and operated the Winslow Café on Broadway. After closing her café she worked for Western Auto Furniture Store until she retired.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons Jerry Lynn Monsey, Sr. (Donna) and Jess Monsey. She had 13 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 25 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Great Grandson. She was preceded in death by two Daughters, Linda Joyce Monsey and Janet Wheeler and one Son, Jimmy Monsey.
